Mission
Written in response to the 2025 massacre on Bondi beach, 'SONDER' tells the story of a Mothers struggle to instill pride in her children after the event. Dealing with the uncomfortable conversations every Australian should be having to work towards a brighter, more respectful country. 'SONDER's cast and crew are built with people from all different backgrounds working together to tell this story. Understanding that we are all walking on the same soil but have travelled different paths and each one deserves respect and understanding. As well as taking this film to several different film festivals, the Film will have an education package attached to it so that we can work towards screening for secondary school students and potentially workplaces in the future.
Vision
After December 14, 2025, like most of the Jewish community, & many beyond it, I felt deeply shaken. Finding a way to move forward, to hold onto hope, & to continue nurturing pride & confidence in my children after an event like that is something I never imagined I would have to navigate. Descendants of Holocaust survivors who came to this country in search of a better life & a brighter future for their family, I feel a profound responsibility to ensure that their legacy does not fade. The resilience they showed in rebuilding after unimaginable loss must not be forgotten. Every child in this country, regardless of their background, deserves to grow up feeling safe, respected, & valued. Through Project SONDER, we hope to contribute to that vision by fostering understanding, strengthening social cohesion, & helping build a future grounded in mutual respect and belonging for all.
